Final paper and copyright form submission (now open)

Copyright forms

Authors of accepted papers must submit a signed scanned .pdf copyright form transferring the rights for the submitted work to IEEE. The form must be submitted no later than October 01, 2011 together with the final version of the manuscripts.

Steps for final paper and copyright form submissions:

  1. Create final manuscript(s) by using templates from the site:
    http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html
    Please take a note that there are some minor differences between draft paper submission format and final paper submission format. For example, final paper template includes “Keywords”.
  2. Proofread and check layout of manuscript.
  3. Create IEEE PDF eXpress account.
    To access IEEE PDF eXpress service for ICAT 2011, go to www.pdf-express.org
    See bellow detailed instructions for accessing and using the IEEE PDF eXpress site.
  4. Upload source file(s) for Conversion; and/or PDF(s) for Checking.
  5. Use IEEE PDF eXpress to attain IEEE Xplore -compatible PDF(s).
  6. Submit final, IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF(s) through conference submission site.
    The deadline for submitting camera-ready submission is October 01, 2011
  7. Submit scanned, filled, and signed .pdf copyright form.
    The steps to submit the copyright form are the following:

    1. Download the copyright form from the site:
      http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/rights/copyrightmain.html
    2. Print the IEEE copyright form, fill it in, and sign it.
    3. Scan the signed form and send it by email to haris.supic [AT] etf.unsa.ba

Detailed instructions for accessing and using the IEEE PDF eXpress site

Access the IEEE PDF eXpress site

  • First-time users
    1. Click “New Users-Click Here”
    2. Enter icat11x for the Conference ID, your email address, and choose a new password. Continue to enter information as prompted.
    3. You will receive online and email confirmation of successful account setup.
  • Previous users, but using it for the first time for a new conference
    1. Enter icat11x for the Conference ID, your email address, and enter the password you used for your old account.
    2. When you click “Login” you’ll receive an error saying you need to set up an account. Simply click “Continue”. By entering your previously used email address and password combination, you will enable your old account for access to this new conference.
    3. Check that the contact information is still valid, and click “Submit”.
    4. You will receive online and e-mail confirmation of successful account setup.
  • Returning users
    1. Enter icat11x for the Conference ID, email address, and password.
    2. For each conference paper, click “Create New Title”.
    3. Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended but not required).
    4. Click “Submit PDF for Checking” or “Submit Source Files for Conversion”.
    5. Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click Browse and navigate to file, and click “Upload File”. You will receive online and email confirmation of successful upload.
    6. You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.

If the PDF submitted fails

  1. Submit your source file for conversion by clicking “Try Again”, and then “Submit Source Files for Conversion”, or
  2. Read the PDF Check report, then click “The PDF Check Report” in the sidebar to get information on possible solutions, or
  3. “Request Technical Help” through your account.

If you are not satisfied with the IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF

  1. Resubmit your source file with corrections (“Try Again” then “Submit Source Files for Conversion”), or
  2. Submit a PDF by clicking “Try Again” then “Submit PDF for Checking”, or
  3. “Request a Manual Conversion” through your account.

When the PDF submitted passed the PDF Check, or you are satisfied with your IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF submit your camera-ready IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF through conference submission site.
