UNDERWATER ROBOTICS : ON ARCHITECTURES AND TECHNOLOGIES
Moderator: Kemal A. Delic, Hewlett-Packard Co/DxC Technologies
Abstract: Two thirds of the earth’s surface is covered in water. Still, we know more about some distant planet’s surface than our own oceans. Witnessing the rising global population, many claim the oceans will play a major role in the future of humanity as a key source of energy, food, minerals and rare metals. The mapping, exploration and consequent exploitation of these waters will depend heavily on the development and deployment of underwater robotics and technologies.
This roundtable will bring together thought leaders from across the globe to discuss the architecture of underwater exploration systems and associated technologies:
During the one-hour debate, we will aim to raise interest in the field, inspire some useful thoughts, and entertain the audience with a few curious insights. Please join us on October 22, 4pm CET.
